2020 Senior Workshop Classes Shine with Strategic Integrated Campaigns
The Ad PR Senior Workshop, the capstone class for majors, challenges students to put their strategic communication skills to the test by taking on a paying client. Students break into agency teams and have 16 weeks to research, plan and launch an integrated marketing communications campaign.
In Fall 2019, students in both workshop sections under the direction of Professors Lynne Scott Jackson and Yury Vargas and Professors Gerardo Blumenkrantz and John Totaro worked with CUNY’s Banking On My Career as their client. The goal: to help CCNY students become advocates of their own future by taking advantage of the variety of career-building opportunities that the financial services industry has to offer by using BankingOnMyCareer.com as the main resource for exploring opportunities. BluMedia won the client pitch in Prof. Scott Jackson’s class. In Prof. Blumenkrantz’s class Team On Point won with their “You Got the Skills” campaign.
In Spring 2020, members of Professors Lynne Scott Jackson and Yury Vargas’s class worked with The Alumni Association of The City College of New York to raise awareness of its value and to inspire students to join as graduates.
Students in Professors Blumenkrantz and Totaro’s classes worked with CCNY Downtown to inspire CCNY Downtown students to become ambassadors of their beloved institution by making their friends, families and co-workers aware of its value, thus increasing enrollment. Colors Creative won the client pitch with their Share the Success Campaign.
