Dot Giannone / VMLY&R Paid Summer Internship + $3,000 Scholarship Winner
The Dot Giannone - VMLY&R award was established in recognition of the extraordinary legacy of Dot Giannone, former EVP at VMLY&R, for her commitment to fostering diverse talent in the profession of advertising. Dot’s legacy of leadership as an industry role model is multiplied by her warmth as a person - and as one of the countless advertising professionals and CCNY graduates who has her to thank for the launch of their career, I am proud to see that her commitment to our business and our students will endure for generations to come.
This year, the annual award provides scholar recipients with $3,000 towards their CCNY 2021-22 tuition, along with a paid summer virtual internship at VMLY&R’s virtual NeXus Master Class this summer and mentoring by agency professionals.
The lucky recipient of this year’s Dot Giannone / VMLY&R Paid Summer Internship + $3,000 is Lupita Jimenez. As her former Professor and as an alum of VMLY&R, I can attest to Lupita’s growing trajectory as an advertising all-star. Lupita is also emerging as an advocate and voice for diversity, equity & inclusion in the advertising & marketing industry, as she currently serves as the co-host of the Where We Fit podcast produced by our CCNY AAF students.
